IO is a modern take on the traditional drum pendant. Slick, clean and contemporary, it looks simple but has nice details when you look closer. The top of the pendant is made from solid bamboo and the hub is recessed into a steel cylinder above. When you look up into the shade, you're treated to the warm glow of light reflected from this timber surface. Of course, there's no plastic diffuser to catch bugs and dust and each shade is made by hand here in Melbourne using a range of imported fabrics
Larger IO pendants work well in spaces such as living rooms and bedrooms or hung low over dining tables. The smaller version is suited to hallways, smaller bedrooms and studies. Their low profile allows them to fit with the lower ceilings often found in modern apartments.
